Científicas, CSIC) based in Madrid. This system is also known by another name “the Ranking Web of Universities”. The ranking was first published in January 2004, and the publication cycle of the Webometrics ranking is twice a year. In Vietnam, new universities were included in this evaluation and ranking system by Webometrics starting from January 2016. As of July 2023, in Asia, 46 countries (including Vietnam) are evaluated by Webometrics. In Vietnam, there are 186 higher education institutions listed in the ranking.
