THE PROJECT "GEL TO SUPPORT THE TREATMENT OF PSORIASIS" WON THE TEC 2023

On the morning of December 16, 2023, Thu Dau Mot University organized the final round and awarded prizes for the contest for Thu Dau Mot University students with start-up ideas - TDMU Entrepreneurship Competition 2023 - TEC2023. Surpassing 9 other projects, the product "Gel to support the treatment of psoriasis" excellently won the highest award at this year's competition.
Attending the program from partner units were Ms. Truong Dieu Oanh - Representative of Business Forum Magazine, along with members of the Southern National Startup Advisory and Support Council, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Trang - Head of Technology Management and Innovation Department, Department of Science and Technology of Binh Duong province, representatives of accompanying units and brands, and sponsors of the contest. On the side of Thu Dau Mot University, there was Dr. Ngo Hong Diep - Vice Rector, along with representatives of functional units, competition team members and more than 500 students who participated in cheering.
TDMU Entrepreneurship Competition is a competition organized annually by Thu Dau Mot University, under the companionship and coordination of the Southern National Startup Advisory and Support Council, and Business Forum Magazine. Launched on September 22, 2023, the competition attracted more than 30 ideas and projects to participate. After the preliminary round, 20 projects with high practicality and application entered the product exhibition and presentation competition in the Semi-final round. The jury evaluated and selected the 10 best ideas/projects to compete in the final round, including: TEC02 - Production of natural dry alcohol from used cooking oil; TEC03 - Oil absorbent product made from hair material; TEC08 - TDMU Chat GPT - AI digital content creation website system; TEC09 - Model of growing gray abalone mushrooms on coffee grounds in urban areas; TEC11- Health support drink Hydrolyzed Cordyceps; TEC12 - Organic cleaning product set; TEC18 - Red dragon fruit beer; TEC20 - F-Gelfi; TEC21 - KOM Hair Rinse; TEC25 - Yen Bach facial cleanser.
In the final round, the top 10 excellent projects displayed their product models, demonstrating their bravery in explaining the creativity, feasibility as well as high practical applicability of the project. The champion title of this year's competition was awarded to the F-Gelfi project (Gel to support the treatment of psoriasis) of the student group: Huynh Kim Lien, Nguyen Thi My Hien, Vu Thi Hong Nhung, Tran Thi Dieu Huyen, Nguyen Thi My Dang. The runner-up prize was awarded to the student group: Ngo Truong Vu, Nguyen Hoang Qui, Mai Xuan Thuan, Phan Anh Phi, Tran Thi Thu My with the project "TDMU Chat GPT - AI digital content creation website system". The organizing committee also awarded two Potential awards to the project "Production of natural dry alcohol from used cooking oil" and the project "Organic cleaning product set".
Speaking at the program, Dr. Ngo Hong Diep - Vice Rector sent his sincere thanks to the Southern National Startup Advisory and Support Council and Business Forum Magazine for accompanying the university, advising and supporting students throughout the competition journey. Appreciating the quality of the top 10 TEC2023 projects, especially the entrepreneurial spirit of students, Dr. Ngo Hong Diep said that the competition is a useful playground for students in the field of entrepreneurship, helping to create a positive change in thinking and action for the student force, and is the driving force to awaken the creative entrepreneurial spirit of the young generation of Thu Dau Mot University. “Startup projects considered the first step on the entrepreneurial journey, may not be successful but will help you gain more experience, knowledge, and skills. After graduating, you can develop your own abilities, find and create start-up opportunities to achieve solid success in your careers" - Dr. Ngo Hong Diep recommended.
