From July 10th -11th, 2023, at Nha Trang University, the Workshop "Vietnam Employability and Entrepreneurship Support Network" VEES-NET, ECOVIP project launch ceremony and Kick-off meeting (ECOVIP- Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines).
Attending the workshop were representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), member universities in the VEES-NET
* network, and other universities in Vietnam.
VEES-NET- Vietnam Employability and Entrepreneurship Support Network is the successful result of the V2Work project coordinated by the University of Alicante (Spain) and funded by the Erasmus+ Foundation. After nearly 3 years of establishment and development, the network's member universities regularly organize activities to improve career skills and entrepreneurship skills for students through activities such as Career Day, forums to connect businesses and students, training courses, startup skills training, and Enterprising Ideas Competitions.
Attending the conference, Thu Dau Mot University had a report to share about its experience in organizing entrepreneurship contests and some results achieved by the University through Enterprising Ideas Competitions at the university, regional and national. In addition, the workshop also shared the results of the Lab-Film project funded by the Eramus+ Foundation from Hanoi University, Thai Nguyen University, and the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture. With similar goals from 2 projects V2Work and Lab-Movie, stakeholders will discuss connecting more members to join the VEES-NET network.
Following the successful activities to support students in finding jobs and starting a business from the network's member universities, in August 2023 (term 2020-2023), the network will organize activities at the Tra Vinh University aims to replicate the model of supporting start-up satellites (also known as model of startup student cooperatives) and the workshop to evaluate network performance for the term 2020-2023 and action plan for the term 2024 – 2027 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in October 2023.
Within the framework of the workshop, the member universities in the VEES-NET, as well as the associate members of the ECOVIP Project – Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines jointly attended the Launching Ceremony Good Practices workshop and Kick-off meeting of the ECOVIP Project.
