The Golden Globe Award has been organized annually since 2003 by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, to recognize and honor young Vietnamese talents under the age of 35 who have made remarkable achievements in scientific research and technological innovation, contributing to the nation’s development.
In 2025, the selected projects focused on global issues with practical significance for Vietnam, such as climate change, public health, renewable energy, sustainable development, and digital transformation. This outcome reflects the spirit of implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
Within the Information Technology – Digital Transformation and Automation category, Dr. Vu Thai Hoc, a lecturer at the Institute of Digital Technology Training, Thu Dau Mot University, was recognized for his research on non-orthogonal multiple access systems based on intelligent reflecting surfaces, opening new directions for applications in 5G networks and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The 2025 Golden Globe Award is a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Vu Thai Hoc’s dedication, creativity, and scientific contributions. His achievement also affirms the professional competence and innovative spirit of young Vietnamese intellectuals in general, and of Thu Dau Mot University in particular, on the nation’s path toward integration and development.
According to the organizers, each Golden Globe Award laureate in 2025 received the “Creative Youth” badge, a Golden Globe trophy, a certificate of merit, and a cash prize of 20 million VND. The award ceremony took place on October 29, 2025, in Hanoi.
