The Lao–Cambodian Student Management Board in Ho Chi Minh City Visited and Presented Bunpimay New Year Gifts to Lao International Students

Welcoming the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Trung – Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, representatives of the university’s affiliated units, and Lao international students currently studying at the university.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Huynh Thanh Nha acknowledged and highly appreciated the university’s attention and support for the Lao student community over the years. He emphasized that Bunpimay is not only an important traditional festival of the Lao people but also an opportunity to strengthen solidarity and mutual support among international students, educational institutions, management agencies, and the Lao community living and studying in Vietnam. Mr. Huynh Thanh Nha also encouraged the Lao students to continue striving in their studies and self-improvement, successfully complete their training programs on schedule, and contribute to the development of their homeland upon returning home. At the same time, he expressed his expectation that the students would continue promoting their sense of responsibility and become active contributors to people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the future. He stressed that each Lao student is not only a representative of the younger generation of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic but also an important bridge contributing to the strengthening and promotion of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. Through studying, training, and cultural exchanges in Vietnam, Lao students will continue to foster cultural and educational connections and deepen the friendship between the peoples of the two countries, thereby contributing positively to sustainable development and cooperation in the future.
Currently, Thu Dau Mot University is providing training for 45 Lao international students in various majors, including Architecture, Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Finance and Banking, Chinese Language, and English Language Studies. Over the years, the university has consistently focused on creating a supportive learning environment and assisting international students in their studies, daily life, and cultural integration. On behalf of the university leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Trung expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude for the attention and support from the Lao–Cambodian Student Management Board in Ho Chi Minh City toward Lao students studying at Thu Dau Mot University. He stated that the university has always considered caring for and supporting international students not only as part of its educational mission but also as a responsibility in promoting cultural and educational exchanges and strengthening friendship relations between Vietnam and neighboring countries, especially the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. He also affirmed that the university will continue coordinating closely with relevant agencies and organizations to create favorable conditions for international students in learning, scientific research, daily life, and integration into the living environment in Vietnam. In addition, the university will further enhance training quality, promote cultural exchange activities, provide skills support, and accompany international students throughout their academic journey. These efforts aim to contribute to the development of highly qualified human resources with cultural understanding and the ability to actively support future cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
At the gathering, the Lao–Cambodian Student Management Board in Ho Chi Minh City presented Bunpimay New Year gifts to the 45 Lao international students studying at Thu Dau Mot University. The activity demonstrated care and companionship for the Lao student community while further strengthening the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in the field of education and training.
