Thu Dau Mot University’s Students won the Third Prize of the Physics Olympiad, the Second Prize of the Biology Olympiad.

On the morning of October 29, 2022, at Phenikaa University (Hanoi), the XXIV National Student Physics Olympiad 2022 ended after 4 days of competition. Thu Dau Mot University's team with 6 members won 3rd Prizes, 5 3rd Prizes and 2 Consolation Prizes in competitions.
 
The XXIV National Student Physics Olympiad 2022 is an annual activity organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Physics Association, and higher education institutions throughout the country to encourage students. promote creativity and promote the movement of learning Physics at universities.
 
This year's Physics Olympiad attracted the participation of 220 students and 81 lecturers from 36 universities and academies in the country. During the 4 days of the exam, the candidates competed in 3 contents including multiple-choice, problem-solving, and experiment. The knowledge in each part of the exam mainly revolves around the General Physics program taught at schools and focuses on practical applications.
 
Participating in this competition, the Thu Dau Mot University team has 06 students and 02 supporting lecturers. At the end of the exam, the team won 3 Third Prizes in the multiple-choice test; 02 Third Prizes in the experimental part; 02 Consolation Prizes in the problem-solving section. In the end, the school team won third place overall.
 
Previously, in August 2022, the Biology Olympiad team of Thu Dau Mot University won 01 Second Prize and 01 Consolation Prize at the 2nd National Student Biology Olympiad 2022 held at the VNU Hanoi-University of Science. Although it was the first year Thu Dau Mot University participated in the Biology Olympiad, the achievement was very encouraging when both winners were first-year Biotechnology students (course D21).
