Followed the draft cooperation plans from the visit of Chen Minh Yin - Vice-Rector, who came to Ho Chi Minh University in August 2015, in this official visit, the School leadership exchanged the details of plan to sign the official documents. At the opening the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep-Rector Thu Dau Mot University thanked the hospitality of Dayeh University’s leadership for the School, at the same time, introduced some information about the program and the training scale, the activities of international cooperation, exchanges of school. The Assoc. Prof expected and appreciated the diversified and intensive cooperation between Thu Dau Mot University and Dayeh University. In the coming time, the two Schools would cooperate as the following specific programs:

(1) With the program of student exchange: Thu Dau Mot University proposed the student group of Chinese language ology to attend the short course at Dayeh University, aimed to improve the communication skills, the ability to use language and international integration through learning activities, cultural learning, academic exchange with the students of Dayeh University.

(2) With the program of cooperation in scientific research: the object was the lecturers of two Schools through lecturer exchange project in the biotechnology, economics, social science ology... This program would help form the group teaching-research, professional exchanges, which could enhance the professional capacity and share the research results between the two Schools.

(3) With the training program, the two Schools would open the linking classes in the form of training 2 + 2 or 3 + 1. Besides, they would organize advanced training courses for qualification of the labor force, who worked in more than 6000 Taiwan businesses in Binh Duong Province.

Responded, Mr. Ou  Jia Ruey welcomed and supported the proposals of the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep and said “Dayeh University willing to become a partner of the Thu Dau Mot University in education and training, scientific research and technology transfer”. Mr. Ou Jia Ruey engaged that Dayeh University would make good condition in learning environment for Vietnamese students and lecturers. At the same time, the School would organize many extracurricular and exchanges activities between the two Schools to tighten further the mutual understanding. The cooperation projects would be governed by a formal text between the two Schools and implemented in 2017.

Dayeh University was established in 1990, is a German-style university. The school's curriculum includes blocks of Economics, Engineering, Art and Design, Biotechnology, Biological Resources... In the framework of the visit, the School’s Delegation visited the campus, facilities, and the School's laboratory.

Promotion of the establishment of Chinese Language Center with Chi Nan University

In the framework of the trip, the Delegation of School worked with Chi Nan University to discuss the project of establishment Chi Nan Chinese Language Center at Thu Dau Mot University. To welcome the Delegation, there were Mr. Yang Wu Dong-Head of International Relations, Mr. Zhang Zhen Hao-Director of Engineering Science Academy and Ms. Lin Lin-Director of the Academy of management.

At the meeting, Mr. Yang Wu Dong expressed his delight to welcome the School leaders to visit and work. He said, the National Chi Nan University, established in 1995 with the scale was more than 6000 students, the students attended 18 undergraduate programs, 24 graduate programs, 14 doctoral programs in the ology: Humanities, science and technology, education and management. In cooperation with the universities in Vietnam, Chi Nan University wanted to become a partner with Thu Dau Mot University to develop training programs, projects of cooperation in scientific research, lecturers, students and research studetns exchanges.

About Thu Dau Mot University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep shared, the training programs between the two Schools had many similarities, both were public universities, multidisciplinary training in many professions. Therefore, the potential of cooperation between the two Schools was great. Through the meeting, the Assoc. Prof proposed the project to build the Chi Nan Chinese Language Center at Thu Dau Mot University to meet the goal of providing professional human resources, who could speak Chinese fluently to work for enterprises of Taiwan in Binh Duong Province and South East areas. Then, the two Schools promoted cooperation in scientific research and transfer of technology; organized the international seminar in the biotech profession, which were the strength of the two Schools.

Through the exchange, the representatives of two Schools appreciated the potential of educational cooperation in the coming time, and focused on deep discussion of the cooperation program to sign the memorandum of cooperation in the coming year. In particular, in 2017, the two Schools would organize International Conferences in the field of science and technology at Thu Dau Mot University.

At the end of this official visit of the School’s leadership to the universities in Taiwan, many opportunities for collaboration, exchange and development of culture and education were opened. The detailed cooperation projects were unified as an important platform of promoting long-term cooperation on education and training, scientific research and technology transfer between Thu Dau Mot University with top universities in Taiwan, contributed to deepen the relationship of cooperation, the spirit of friendship, between Vietnam and Taiwan in general.
